It’s gloomy and rainy here today. It makes me a bit lethargic but then I see that the Magnolia is open and beautiful! I love to see it as I drive up our lane and it makes me realize that even though the weather is not great the flowers love the rain. I like to plant flowers, trees and shrubs so there is always something blooming and colorful throughout the Spring, Summer and Fall seasons. These colors in nature always inspire me and really influence my color combinations. I’ll never forget the first time I saw an Eastern Redbud in bloom. I fell in love with that color and had to know what it was. It was planted at the Morton Arboretum and visible from I-88. What a great way to get people interested in trees! Make sure you check out what’s blooming in your neighborhood. It’s a great reason to get out and go for a walk. Let me know what you see!
Must get back to working on my website. It’s taken me far too long.
